I feel the taxi 'tempest in a wine bottle' was a test. A test to see if Americans will be like Europeans, and roll over the instant someone yells "Racist" or "Insensitive."

I'm over that. In American tradition, community rights end where reasonable individual rights begin. An individual's rights end where another individual's begin. So, if you feel you can't take a passenger, someone who's money is just as green as the next person in line, because of what they *legally* carry, or may carry, find another line of work.

(Not to mention I find the idea of recent immigrants attempting to navigate St. Paul hilarious. Might as well take the bus or simply walk.)

These immigrants need to be CLEAR about where they are living. They are living in the US, and we will NOT tolerate demands for changes in our behavior for someone's sensibilities. This isn't Italy or France. We are a very different people.
