Taxi Militants: Hollow Victory

Reader comment on item: No Islamic Law in Minnesota, for Now

Submitted by Jim Middagh (United States), Oct 17, 2006 at 09:19

The decision by MSP to not adopt a "two light" system for militant cab drivers is superficially gratifying but it is a hollow victory. MSP did not yield to constitutional logic, they yielded to public pressure.

And MSP points out that since TSA has banned liquids in amounts greater than three ounces anyway, the number of Muslim "refusal of service" events has declined.

The constitutional and social freedoms enjoyed by Americans are not safe from erosion by Muslim activities. They will come up with still more ways to continue their quest of replacing our ways with their ways.

The price of liberty is truly eternal vigilance!
