NO to Palestinian Access to Gaza -West Bank Route.

Reader comment on item: "Today Gaza, Tomorrow Jerusalem"

No way must there be a "secure access" route between Gaza Strip and West Bank through Israeli territory. Condy Rice apparently is "putting her foot down" and wont take NO for an answer on this one .. This time ,she should have to see it Israel's way...

I remember on two occassions early in the Intifada, some two US "experts on the Middle East" saying, "Israel must bleed a little, for progress to take place". If the pullout is to be a strategic move ,it will be a grave mistake to concede the security of the Gaza-West Bank route to the Palestinians and thus allow Israel to "bleed a little" once more. At every opportunity the State Department wants Israel to be at a strategic disadvantage in order to facilitate the next concession.
