Reader comment on item: "Today Gaza, Tomorrow Jerusalem"

Submitted by Paul Z (United States), Aug 9, 2005 at 14:21

Dear Emanuel,
Nobody is more confused than one who wants to be deceived. Y our conviction might be different if you used sources other than Al Jazeera and its ilk. The terminology you use betrays you, starting with "illegal settlers" and Geneva Convention. I have much doubt you ever studied the latter.

The fact of the truth is - most of the "illegal settlers" have occupied their homes for longer than the majority of their Arab neighbors, who are not referred to as "settlers", even though most of them came from the same Arab countries that many Jewish refugees who live in Gaza did.

Regarding "no other democracy build settlements on occupied land"...have you ever hear of East Prussia, Silesia, West Poland, Rhine? More than a million Germans were forcefully evicted from their homeland which they "occupied" for centuries after Germany lost WWII by USSR, Poland, Czechoslovakia and France? They were real refugees, not fake ones, like "Palestinians". Is France not democratic enough for your taste? More than a million Japanese were forcefully removed from the Far East countries.

They all have one thing in common - they lost the war, and they paid for it. Arabs lost 4 wars in a row - and never ever paid consequences or took responsibilities for their own people. That's the truth.

My advice - next time find your sources outside Al Jazeera or CAIR domains. The Web is full of real History books.
And there are real libraries, you know, with the old-fashioned paper books.
