Reader comment on item: The Muslim Claim to Jerusalem

Submitted by Edoardo Recanati (Israel), Feb 5, 2013 at 07:41

The Muslims remember only what can suit their political objectives. For instance, no publicity is given to the Ark of the Covenant, between God and the Jews (Sura 2-248). It reads that the Ark, left by Moses and Aaron (sic), represents an "assurance from your Lord..."when it will come out, it will be a sign for you if you are believers".

The Ark is out of sight nowadays, although most scholars concord that is is under the Temple Mount. The circumstances of its reappearance are very close, visit the site: www.israelhai.org It is a very plausible theory and, if widely disseminated, would lead the Muslims to believe that, at the time of prayers, their children are playing soccer on top of the Tablets of the Law!
