Reader comment on item: The Muslim Claim to Jerusalem
in response to reader comment: Jerusalem is important to Islam, not for political, but on theological grounds

Simply put, one of the 5 obligatory prayers offered at Makkah is rewarded 100,000 times than any other place, while at Madina it is 10,000 and at Jerusalem it is 1000.

Is this written in the Quaran or was this something instituted afterwards?
