Protecting Shame

Reader comment on item: Gilad Shalit and Doing Business with Terrorists

Submitted by Jay1 (United States), Oct 23, 2011 at 20:47

Dr Pipes is quite right to express concern over Israel's lopsided killers for soldier trade. It will motivate more captured Israelis. This is yet another example of Palestinian compromise. A few more hostage exchanges like this, and the Palestinians will have all their bloody hands back and suggest things like an Israeli soldier for the city of Jerusalem. I would recommend Israel draw and settle much bigger, bolder and safer borders than previously discussed. To protect Israel from all these forms of Palestinian unilateralism, terrorism, smuggling, kidnappings, war acts (called terrorism) and ridiculous compromises. I'm happy for the Schalit family. For the sake of principle and common sense I wish to offer this alternative- instead of also having to say to Israel- Shame.
