Questions for Niyaz

Reader comment on item: Gilad Shalit and Doing Business with Terrorists
in response to reader comment: Prisoner swap

Submitted by Prashant (United States), Oct 20, 2011 at 22:09

Dear Dr Pipes:

Your reader Niyaz wonders why many of your readers have more pain for one Israeli abductee than for 1027 Arab prisoners. Niyaz should try to answer the following two questions:

1. Does is make a difference that Gilad Shalit was kidnapped? He did absolutely nothing to deserve the fate that he got.

2. Has he ever heard of some individual Israeli jews who have gone to random cafes and have started to shoot and kill innocent civilians belonging to other faiths.

Niyaz should ask and answer these two questions over and over again until an honest answers occurs to him.
