Disagreeing with you

Reader comment on item: Gilad Shalit and Doing Business with Terrorists

Shame is such a strong word, and it has no applicability to this situation and to the current leaders of Israel. You may disagree with the Israeli government decision, but shame they do not deserve.

There is no shame in valueing the life of one of your citizens against 1000+ of your enemies. As much as the risk to other citizens and the country is high with these releases, this exchange reinforces Israel's image and humanity abroad bringing contrast with the Palestinians' behavior and promotion of terror and love affair with death and killing. It also reinforces the belief among its citizen army that no one will be left behind and that much effort will be made to bring them home safely.

Shame should be attached to the Palestinians who have murdered civilians all over the world. Shame should be with the mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, and friends of these released prisoners/murderers who gloat about killing Jews and vouching to never stop until the State of Israel is eradicated from the face of this earth. Shame belongs there.

Words are powerful. You know you use them every day. Please attach them where they truly belong. In this case, it does not belong with the Israeli officials.
