Sending Arabs into outer space

Reader comment on item: On NASA's Strange Priorities

Submitted by Clifton M (United States), Jul 6, 2010 at 20:15

No, I'm not going to suggest that NASA build a rocket that will carry millions of people. However, in reading this article it now seems to me that when Bolden said "foremost" objective, he meant OF THESE THREE OBJECTIVES Obama gave him, or ADDED to his list already of objectives, that drawing the Moslems in to the space program was foremost above the other two which are: get kids interested, expand international interests (whatever that means?) and then this: get the Arabs interested. Perhaps this is to get Arab money invested, perhaps it is to get satellites orbiting over certain Jewish countries, or it is just feel good inclusiveness Kumbiya. But this article does not seem to indicate that this is now a foremost objective that supercedes all the dozens of others that NASA probably has and have had for a long time. Comments, please.
