Obama and Muslims

Reader comment on item: On NASA's Strange Priorities

Submitted by J.Kowalik (United States), Jul 6, 2010 at 23:22

Obamna's speeches in Cairo contain several references to his respect for Islam. I believe that any respect has to be won and deserved .Islam does not deserve any respect because it does not offer any respect to other cultures. Obama is mistaken thinking that by his deep bowes and sugar coated appeasement statements he will win Muslim's hearts and perhaps Muslims will reform their long held ideology from the crude fascism to the western democratic principles. But his attempts will be seen by Muslims only as a weakness and hypocrisy.

Mr Obama was elected to conclude successfully the American involvement in Iraq and Afganistan not to make Muslims feel better. This objective is a total nonsense and absurd.
