Reader comment on item: [The Need to Name and] Know Thy Terrorists

Submitted by franky (United States), Aug 2, 2004 at 17:53

Dear Iqbal:
You as an educated person should not allow yourself to speak of things you know not of. It is true that all Muslims should condemn terrorism. In fact they should be active in stopping it. However, you (probably do not know Arabic) pick up a translation of the Quran and read it without knowing much about the book then you think this is promoting violence. This my educated lady is the same ignorant approach to scripture that sparks violence in all religions. So before you declare yourself an authority on the Quran, please learn about what you are reading first.
