It does not bother me that a man might have more than one wife as long as a woman has just as much right to more than one husband.

The core question is if Islamic countries extend the same freedoms to non-Islamic citizens as Western countries do to those of Islamic faith.

The answer is in large measure NO.

There's a culture in the north of India where a woman marries all the brothers in a family. I seriously doubt if this culture would suvive in an Islamic country.

If separation of religion and state was as absolute as in Turkey until recently I'd have no problem with Islam at all.

Europeans might cling to the notion that "I'd give up my life for your right to disagree with me" but I seriously doubt most Moslems would do the same for them.
