Examples of monogamy in the Bible

in response to reader comment: Q for Mr Pipes and Mr Herz: Doesn't our Bible approve Polygamy?

Despite widespread cultural influence of polygamy in the Old Testament, there were plenty of examples of monogamous marriage: Noah, Abraham, Joseph, Moses, Joshua, and Samuel were all married to one woman (Moses divorced his first wife, and married a second).

Duet. 17 reveals God's instruction - "Neither shall he multiply wives" - the passage has to do with the selection of a King; however, would God would grant polygamy to the common man, yet deny it towards a king?

Nope, won't find it in the Bible, God of Abraham never endorsed/instructed polygamy.
