I agree with Kelly - I am talking from experience. Being cheated on, when you trust the person, is extremely abusive. I experienced trusting someone - and discovering infidelity. 4 years later I am still impacted. Now, I have a muslim boyfriend that recently immigrated to the west. For some reason, I feel very secure that he is honest to me. We talk about this situation often. I don't think it's fair that women can't take multiple partners. But I do think it's much better to not be lied to so you know the character of the person you are committed to. It hurt horrifically to be in love with someone that was lying about who they are. I am also scared about viruses that I was possibly exposed to.
