In the mistaken assumption that the Roman Catholic Church has any power, from a Biblical standpoint, to contravene the Holy Scriptures, we must remember that the true understanding of Biblical events comes not from the interference of mere men in the fulfillment of the WORD of the LORD, but in faith as the WORD comes true in the lives of men women and children.

Isaiah, in the true faith of describing the person of Yeshua HaMashiach cannot be altered by a late introduction of a questionable reference such as happened in 1953. By thinking that the Isaiah reference you bring up has any more validation that some in Jewish scholarly circles thinking that Isaiah was fulfilled in Hezekiah, stuff such as this shows that level of unbelief as found in the Quran, which tries to diminish the true being of Yeshua HaMashiach.

Sorry, but in truth, altering Isaiah does not cleanse the soul from sin, no matter what the take from the Vatican might be. Only in faith in Yeshua HaMashiach can there be a cleansing in the truth of Who He is.
