Reader comment on item: Appease Iran?

As philosopher Ayn Rand said, "In any compromise between food and poison, it is poison that must win." And so it is demonstrated time and again, especially in current times. When you compromise with evil, then you inevitably invite that evil to defeat you. Only by standing up to it with full moral confidence can you defeat it.

Sadly, neither George W. Bush, nor either of the presidential hopefuls, seem to understand this one bit. If only Churchill was our Commander in Chief now -- we would stand far greater a chance of victory than we do now.
