Mr. Saeed writes:

"Mr Infidel: Open your mind and Read my words carefully:Islam NEVER gets DEFEAT !(Arabs, Pakistanis, Persians can, but ISLAM Can't)I hope you get it this time around."

Mr Saeed should re-read what has been written. Islam HAS INDEED been defeated in the past. It was banished from Europe during the Ottoman conquest - and banished from Spain after the Moorish occupations.

Sure, it's adherents were either killed or fled - but more importantly the IDEAs of Islam as a viable philospohy was rejected by Europeans hundreds of years ago. Even then it was seen for what it is - a primitive and in many implementations , barbaric socio-religious system.

Time has moved on - yet still Europeans (including Russia) , most of Asia, most of India and most of Africa and all South America still have the same opinion of it. : Not interested.

In fact now as more is known about the cult, the opposition to it is even firmer - though this time around, because our legal system allows freedom of belief for all - Muslims aren't in much danger of being physically persecuted. Unlike non-Muslims in many Muslim countries.

Again, I was not talking about Arab, Pakistani or Persian fellow cultists of yours being physically defeated. I am speaking of the lifetime of ideas and philosophies. Islam is a set of ideas. Ideas CAN be defeated and history is littered with examples. Communism and Nazism are good examples. These are just ideas - that some leaders gave followers. Followers liked the good parts, ignored the bad (or didn't think it through) and believed in it as fervently (more or less) as you believe in your current worldview.

Again time has gone on - and now communism as seen as the world's second biggest party pooper and along with Nazism has a tiny following made up of disenfranchised crackpots.

As we find out more and more of Islam - a similar thing is happening. Many Muslims in the West , given the freedom to make their own choices without fear of persecution - are now ex-Muslims.

Why is that? Obviously because they've had a change in perspective and a realisation that they had a very blinkered, myopic view beforehand . Now having been allowed to draw their own conclusions - have seen it for what it is - and could not continue the farce any longer.

Ideas can indeed be defeated - or more precisely, superceded.
