Alas for Israel!

Reader comment on item: Appease Iran?

Submitted by John W McGinley (United States), Sep 25, 2008 at 17:50

As the United States goes, so too does Israel. Israel's collective conscious and unconscious imitation of the United States has reached such a critical mass that it is endemic to Isreal's national life. This is deeply sad and tragic for Israel since the "tipping point" by which America does into its slow but steady final decline has already occurred. In sixty years, Israel has reached such a "tipping point." It is no longer a "Jewish" state except in name only. And it is not its enemies which are brinigng about such a sad devolution. Judaism in Israel is fast becoming an empty shell with no soul. Just like Judasim in the United States.

There will be no pre-emptive strike against Iran by either the United States or Israel, or in concert with each other. The best Israel can hope for relative to Iran is that Iran does not become the first "suicide nation." If Iran does not go in this direction, Israel's huge nuclear advantage over Iran will keep the Holocaust at bay. Will that be enough time for Israel (and Judaism in general) to wake-up from its own INTERNAL threat? Who knows. Time will tell.
