To Generation of Tomorrow (GoT): Islam brings me out in a cold sweat

in response to reader comment: You are afraid of people converting to Islam

GoT, you are in square brackets and you wrote:

[I can see that you are afraid that Americans may convert to Islam]

That is not what they fear. It is the legitimate fear that some of the Muslims attending the madrasa will be made to think that they are human bombs.

[ It looks like you are afraid of Islam, maybe because it's the truth but you just can't admit or you believe in the lies and deciets about Islam that people go about, or else why should you be afraid.]

Who is not afraid of Islam? It is the religion of fear as Allah himself says he will terrorise us, the infidels. As to its being the truth, Allah himself says he is the best of deceivers.

Lies and deceits about Islam are as nothing as compared to the truths that stare us in the face everyday. Before considering the historical truths (of which you may not be aware) take a look at some truths about Islam and Muslims of recent vintage.

1. The blood of innocents that was spilled due to the Danish cartoons.

2. The daily Shia-Sunni dance of death in Iraq.

3.The practitioners of pure Islam, Taliban, using a child to saw off a man's head in the name of Islam.

4. Despots ruling in almost all Muslim majority countries.

5. Minorities forced to live in fear or discriminated against in Islamic countries (Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sudaan, Iran, Iraq, Egypt....).

Among the historical truths consider this sampling:

1. Elimination of Jews from Medina, including the massacre of the Banu Quraiza.

2. Unprovoked gazhwas in which taking of booty was one of the main attractions.

3. The prophet's critics were eliminated with the help assassins.

4. Abu Bakar's ridda wars to convert people who apostasised.

5. Three out of four Caliphs murdered for religious reasons.

Please ponder over these truths about Islam.

[Let me advise you, islam is not a nightmare...]

If someone tells you, as a punishment , you will be hung up on iron hooks, fed with putrid water, your skin will be burned, regrown and burnt again will you have nightmares? I did after I read it in the Koran. Do the names Khalid bin Walid, Taimur and Saddam Hussein bring you out in a cold sweat. They do to me.

[... it isn't something that you should be afraid of...]

If the guy sitting next to me in a plane or train brings out his Koran and starts reciting something from it won't I come out in a cold sweat? You bet.

[...and so I advise you to learn about Islam if you don't know about it, for I promise you: you will never regret that you learned about it...]

Most of us on this board have learned about Islam and we will never regret it because now that we know the truth we can spread our knowledge about Islam to others who have not learnt what the religion of peace is all about.
