My letter to Klein

Reader comment on item: A Madrasa Grows in Brooklyn

Submitted by dan w. taliaferro (United States), Apr 25, 2007 at 19:05

I understand your department is soon to open the Khalil Gibran International School, to be attended by Muslims with Dhabah ("Debbie") Almontaser, a known terrorist apologist, as its principal. As a resident of the city that suffered the most on September 11, 2001, it astounds me that you would actually allow public funds to be used for this purpose.

Undoubtedly, this school will excuse terrorist acts (just as Altomontaser has done, blaming it on American foreign policy rather than on the murderers who committed the acts), it will champion the Palestinian cause, and foster a distrust of law enforcement. Based on her reported statements, your choice for principal guarantees this outcome.

The only question for you is this: When this school graduates a terrorist who kills Americans, and when it is revealed his or her hatred of America was nurtured at the school YOU allowed to open and the school YOU helped fund with American tax dollars, how are you going to explain away the blood on your hands to the parents, sons and daughters of the Americans that will be killed by the terrorist student YOU helped create?

Sincerely,

Dan W. Taliaferro
