Taxes--I am not a Muslim, but I hope they pay taxes. I paid for two grandsons to go to a private Christian School for four years while I still had to pay public school taxes for schools they did not attend. As long as Christian students are not allowed to study their Bible and not allowed to pray, I will not support a Muslim based program.

You asked what was America before the colonizers? I ask you what was Egypt, Constantinople, Bagdad, Jersusalem, Persia, etc., before the Jihadist Moslems? Which was worse? Ask a Zorastrian, Copt, Jew, or a Christain for the answer. Is American still a secular country? American was originally a Christain country---12 of the original 13 states reserved the right to have a state-supported religiious denomination. Admittedly, they were different denominations of Christainity.

On the Federal level Jefferson encouraged the use of Federal building in Washington D. C. to be used as Christain Churches. He also gave Federal money for the support of churches in Federal territories. Today, the concept of separation of church and state does not allow any religion to be practiced in a public school. No Moslem should ask this question since Moslem countries refuse to tolerate ANY other religion. Do Muslim's live in a secular society? In your society we would be taxed or killed as dhimis....maybe our country should embrace this system for Muslims.
