I know that:

Please read the below story of Fatimah and Khadijah: Note this is a Muslim woman who submitted these case studies:

Factually, speaking Muslims do practice polygamy in all countries. Note, the husband who used his Islamic right to marry the convert, passed on his Islamic dute to support his children, after divorce.

The first wife then used the American court system. The 2nd wife could not file as a legally married wife, although I would assume she had every right to ask for child support.

Now, could you please clarify what you meant by Muslims must OBEY the laws of the country they reside in, UNLESS it goes against their religion?

Also, do you also believe that women who marry by American law, or any Western law, should demand to obtain a divorce according to the American/Christian laws, when in an Islamic country?

Also, what if the convert marries a Muslim in America (and let's assume he's not Saudi, nor 40 yrs old) and he decided to take her to his country? He then has the legal "right" to practice polygamy, whether she's American or not.

If you think this does not happen in 2005, I suggest you do some research. Do not be naive enough to say this does not occur, or that it does not occur for reasons other than those "special circumstances"' you refer to. If this were true, there would be an Islamic court hearing or petition for a 2nd wife, and valid reasons expected.
Reality, no permission needed.
