Conversion Responsibility/PolygamyReader comment on item: Converts to Terrorism Submitted by P.O.D. (Kuwait), Dec 8, 2005 at 11:36 My point was in regards to inter faith marriage. Muslim women cannot marry out of their faith. Excellent law, we should implement it! Since we do not have this as a law, we must take the implications more seriously.Churches should not allow Muslim men to marry Christian women in a Christian ceremony, that clearly states "the two shall become one" when Islamic law states otherwise. If you happen to travel to the Middle East, most countries accept polygamy. My other important point in regards to conversions is, the Islamic centers, and or Mosques who accept shahadas, or declarations of faith into the islamic faith, should be responsible for ensuring the party in question is properly educated, so as not to cause major issues such as apostasy. I would loosely say, a one year education complete with Sharia"ah Law be mandatory. For those who really are concerned, ask any convert you know, if they studied before taking these steps. Nobody should be allowed to accept a faith, which is clearly a way of life, without proper guidance. Fact: Muslim men can marry UP to 4 wives. Fact: Barrenness is not a stipulation for marriage to another wife. Fact: He can marry a slave, true, but there is no stipulation that he must marry a slave. He can marry a free woman. Fact: Muslim men are not required to go to a court of law, to state reasons for polygamy. Fact: Polygamy still exists.
