Jihadist converts and racial profiling

This really lays bare the reason why racial profiling is not only wrong from a civil liberties standpoint but also from a purely tactical standpoint. If the Islamists start to see that we are pulling aside only Arabs and South Asians for extra scrutiny than they will work even harder to get white, western born terrorists into airplanes.

What we need to profile for is behavior, not ethnic background. In other words we need more intense background checks on all passengers . Convert terrorists are already becoming a powerful weapon in the Jihadists' war, and now an Islamist terrorist can just as easily be named John Walker as Mohammad Atta.
