Make it less likely that reprisals by Israel on Gaza radicals will kill Jews.Good Strategy? Highly unlikely. It will encourage the Arabs to believe that terror works. So far as gratitude for a generous act-forget it.They don"t know reciprocity, fairness or common sense. It will be seen as justifying the calling of the territory "occupied." Sympathy or commendation from the liberals-forget it. It will never happen. Israel, like Bush, can never do anything that would provoke praise from the left of the U.S. or Europe.
