Disengagement --- down the road..........

As one who knows Sharon's record, both as a brilliant military strategist and as a statesman, I have been wondering for weeks why he agreed to the disengagement, which goes contrary to everything that Arik has espoused for half a century, and is viewed by so many as "National Suicide".

One of my Israeli relatives who told me that "Sharon is crazy like a fox!" thinks that this is simply another example of Sharon Strategy. By moving all Israelis out of the West Bank and Gaza, and the Arabs moving in terrorists and unlimited armaments, they will shortly begin attacking Israel. At that point, and "having no other alternative", Sharon can quickly mobilize and annihilate the entire Palestinian opposition in those areas "full force" without endangering any Israelis living there, since they will all have been moved out of harms way, to safety in Israel proper.
Maybe just a pipe dream, or.....................?!
