Oh, I forgot something: Hindu's claim on Kaaba

Reader comment on item: The Muslim Claim to Jerusalem
in response to reader comment: Jews and Christian's claim on Mecca

Dear Dr Pipes,

I forgot something. In addition to the Jews and Christians there is another party that wants to stake claim on Mecca: the Hindus. And, Hindu's claim is prettry strong one. You see, many people who want to show that Hindus are long lost Jews say that Brahma the first among the Hindu trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva is none other than Abraham. That makes quiet a lot of sense if we allow for a couple of typos. By Muslim's own admission, Abraham, that is Brahma, created Kaaba and Mecca. So before we quibble about Jerusalem, we must allow Hindus, Jews, and Christian entry into Mecca and permissin to build temples, churches and syngogues.

And then we can also have interfaith dialogs in Mecca as well on lines of the interfaith dialogs of the proposed Cordoba Initiative around ground zero. It is also very well known that before Muhammad established his empire in Mecca, Kaaba used to be a multi-faith (polytheists included) temple. That should put all arguments to rest.
