Muslims claim on Jerusalem

Reader comment on item: The Muslim Claim to Jerusalem

Submitted by Prashant (United States), Aug 13, 2016 at 01:05

Dear Dr Pipes, why do we even waste a minute in entertaining any Muslim claim on Jerusalem? If Muslims can claim Jerusalem, then Sindhi Hindus must claim Karachi, Greek Christians must claim Constantinople, American Indians can claim Washington DC, Mexico can claim California, Jews and Christians and Pagans can claim Mecca, Buddists can claim Taxila, and Whites can reclaim Johannesburg. What am I missing here. If one billion people of the same hue and cry start making any of these latter claims, will it become legitimate? Then why there is any legitimacy in the Islamic claim on Jerusalem. It is a closed case. Period.
