Yes, Jesus taught from the Old Testament. And the OT predicted accurately over 300 times the coming of the Messiah. Jesus said he had not come to do away with the law, but to fulfill it. The book of John clearly shows the divinity of Jesus Christ, in his own words - "I tell you the truth, before Abraham was, I AM." The apostle Paul was blinded on the road to Damascus, and heard the voice of the Christ saying "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?" So you can accept from the New Testament that Jesus taught from the Old Testament, but you are only willing to accept what portions of the NT satisfy your views. There are only three views you can have of Jesus, according to C.S. Lewis: 1) That He was insane, on the level of a man who believes he is a poached egg, 2) He was the Devil from Hell, or 3) He was EXACTLY who He claimed to be. If you don't cherry pick the OT, don't cherry pick the NT.
