A golden opportunity!

Rather than focusing on the obvious negatives of the pull-out, one might instead contemplate the opportunity for Israel to re-enter Gaza should the Gaza Strip become a staging area for attacks upon Israel post-pullout Should the Palestinians attempt to take advantage of the lack of IDF supervision, Israel will be in a 'I told you so' status that will offer compelling evidence that Gaza can not be independant of Israel and, in fact, the settlers presence will then be much more acceptable in the eyes of the world.
