India has removed millions of Muslims just after its independence from British Rule in 1949. Had it not done so, there would have been civil war.

Indian Muslims created a nation called Pakistan, which was divided into Eastern and Western Pakistan. Eastern Pakistan later became Bangladesh.

In 1946, millions of Germans were forcefully evicted from Eastern Europe.

In 1991, 500,000 Russians were kicked out of the Baltic States.


Mr Sharon has learned that politics is the art of the possible. He want to defend the Israeli people from vicious terrorist attacks.

He is no friend of the Muslim world, but he has understood that he needs to find a compromise with them in order to save Jewish lives.

I am not Jewish, but I think that Israel is a remarkable country and Sharon a remarkable leader.

I absolutely love Israel and the Jewish people.

Suicide attacks against innocent Jews have been significantly reduced by Sharon's measures.

A wall has been created in order to defend Jews from terrorism.

Negotiations with the Arabs are under way in order to reduce racial and religious hatred between the parties.

I wish we has politicians like Ariel Sharon in Europe.

Ariel Sharon is hard, but he is fair. He has understood that he needs to sit down with the Arabs and negotiate with them.

He is prepared to give them rights, in order to achieve peace. But he is ready to fight back against Hamas.

I wish European politicians were like Ariel Sharon: hard, but fair.
