Burg praises pseudo-historical book by Shlomo SandReader comment on item: Zionism's Bleak Present Submitted by Jason (United States), Nov 1, 2009 at 18:04 Dr. Pipes have you read the book by Israeli New Historian Shlomo Sand in which he argues there is no such thing as a Jewish nation? In this book Sand basically repeats the long debunked theory that Ashkenazi Jews are mostly descended by the Khazars and that Sephardic and other Jews are descended mostly from various converts; he argues for this despite historical and genetic evidence which contradict his thesis. Sand is in favor of an unrealistic one state solution in which Jews and Arabs share the country. It is amazing how far these ani-Zionists will go to delegitimize Israel's right to exist. And by the way, Avraham Burg praised this book! Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate.
