Agree with Marcus, but I'm afraid Arabs too smart for that

in response to reader comment: ONLY SOLUTION: GAZA TO EGYPT; PARTS OF WEST BANK LINKED TO JORDAN

Egypt doesn't want Gaza, and Jordan wants West Bank even less, and I don't see how to force them to take those lands back.

I think Jordan just might accept the West Bank if it included East Jerusalem (and thus the prestige of being the "protector" of the Dome of the Rock) but Sept 1970 showed King Hussein (and his son, I'm sure) that the Palestinians are too dangerous to rule (and the numbers and nature of Palestinians have gotten way, way worse in the intervening years.)

The appalling fact is the Palestinians are savages and their Arab co-ethnics are even less concerned with their welfare than we are -- and it is basically with the Palestinians' consent.

I think in retrospect it may have been a mistake to keep the land from the 1967 war -- although it certainly seemed too dangerous to abandon.

My pessimism for Israel's future remains undiminished.
I pray for Israel, and the wild card of Divine Intervention could always turn up.
