...just before it turns pitch black.

it will take something pitch black to shake both Israel and the United States out of ther lethargy. "Pitch black" is a widespread trauma of death and destruction.

On September 1, 1939 it was the invasion of Poland. Imagine a world in the late 30's where Hitler had nuclear weapons. We may not have to imagine that world in the relatively near future.

The West , and much of Israel, sleeps...at its own peril.
