Trying to look for a little optimism, I need to counter your claims with the amazing success in numbers (not only quantity, but one could argue, quality populus) of Nefesh B'Nefesh, and other programs for North American aliyah over the past few years . The majority of NBN aliyot are religious Zionists, but they support all-comers, including some traditional, but not orthodox "religious" Zionists per se, as myself.

Don't be so bleak!
