Alas, poor ZionismReader comment on item: Zionism's Bleak Present Submitted by Bob Miller (Australia), Oct 11, 2007 at 23:52 Very true, Daniel, alas. We have an increasing problem with self-hating Jews here in Australia who reject Israel as a Jewish state. The extreme anti-Bush syndrome among US intellectuals, Jews prominent among them, makes support for Israel increasingly "inconvenient". The actions of Israel's current supine leadership is no help either. The only thing we Zionists have going for us is the emergence of Ahmedinejad in Iran, but given the attitudes in the US Congress, the UN and the liberal Western media, even that "benefit" is not likely to be of much long-time use, to say the least. Nil illegitimatibus carborundum, Bob Miller Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
