It IS the Truth, Madame Delcambre, in spite of your romantic dreams

Reader comment on item: Caught on Tape: The Middle East's Culture of Cruelty
in response to reader comment: It's not true to say "cruelty is okay in Islam".

Before "Muhammad", religion didn't demand such popular bloody orgies.

To prescribe the perfect execution of a cruel order does not free you from the responsibility of the whole phenomenon and its inevitable imperfections. While this hadith may seem charitable in itself, it is a very poor excuse within the context of Islam, which introduced, or reintroduced, and have maintained to this day the tradition of large scale animal sacrifice.

Observe the underlying message: Kill those, defenseless, who depend on you, in the name of god. Do it right, and you'll thus do good. The overall result can be but a mess, a religion/culture of blood, pain and endless sorrow.

Well, except for those who understand this phenomenon and choose to use it as a lever to get what they want. Criminals. Islam is an artefact of religion made by criminals, for criminals. And the rest is the projection of minds who prefer to dream than to face reality. The problem of course is that most people will most of the time prefer any dream to Islam's reality.
