Master and Slaves

Reader comment on item: Caught on Tape: The Middle East's Culture of Cruelty

Submitted by Peter, Scotland (United Kingdom), May 15, 2009 at 14:59

The west maintains a distance by ignoring it and pretending it isn't happening. This has been the case for years where the oil dictates every aspect of what can be considered the truth.

Once our dependency on oil is reduced and we become addicted to newer cleaner fuels, only then will the west stop pandering to these nations. Unfortunately at the moment oil is still the master and the west are still the slaves.
