Reader comment on item: Was Barack Obama a Muslim?
in response to reader comment: Barack Obama - black or white

Submitted by calonie (United States), Nov 10, 2008 at 15:05

Barack Obama cannot help who he is any more than anyone can - nor should any of us not accept who we are anyway.

YOU ARE WHO YOU ARE.

Barack Obama may consider himself a black man (or a white man) depending on lots of things like influences, for example. But that doesn't mean he holds one over the other - he's not stupid, he knows how his blood runs...

And stop telling somebody who they are. People know who they are more than an outsider does.

PS. this whole country is full of people who are mixed anyway - incl. white people - SO GET OVER IT, it's interesting, that's all. NOT A THING WRONG WITH IT.
