This is so wrong on so many levels! Here is why!

Reader comment on item: Was Barack Obama a Muslim?
in response to reader comment: What does the word muslim mean?

The verse which says "there is no compulsion in religion" is abrogated by 9:29 which says exactly the opposite!
Qur'an 9:29 "Fight those who do not believe in Allah or in the Last Day and who do not consider unlawful what Allah and His Messenger have made unlawful and who do not adopt the religion of truth from those who were given the Scripture - [fight] until they give the jizyah willingly while they are humbled."
Now mind the fight here it is written in Arabic as a physical fight, not a spiritual one pure violence!

Now the other one you say "So to be Muslim is to strive for good and forbid the wrong. The prophet Muhammed(PBUH) said 'none of you can be a true believer until you love for your brother what you love for yourself'"
Is out of 48:29 I assume and if not this one will abrogate that one as well!
"Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah ; and those with him are forceful against the disbelievers, merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and prostrating [in prayer], seeking bounty from Allah and [His] pleasure. Their mark is on their faces from the trace of prostration. That is their description in the Torah. And their description in the Gospel is as a plant which produces its offshoots and strengthens them so they grow firm and stand upon their stalks, delighting the sowers - so that Allah may enrage by them the disbelievers. Allah has promised those who believe and do righteous deeds among them forgiveness and a great reward."
Mind it explicitly tells you to NOT be good towards NON-Muslims!

So the one who wrote this obviously was trying to mislead people from the truth! Which is perfectly allowed and at times commanded in the Qur'an when it does good for Islam as such in this case is true as it sheds a bright and nice light on Islam.
They also call that taqiya.

So let's talk about Obama first so if he was born a Muslim he can't be not a Muslim because he would get the death sentence according to Islam for apostasy the reason why it did not happen no fatwa was spoken over him was because he did not change his religion he was acting up on Taqiyya see the following verse.
Qur'an 16:106
"Whoever disbelieves in Allah after his belief... except for one who is forced [to renounce his religion] while his heart is secure in faith. But those who [willingly] open their breasts to disbelief, upon them is wrath from Allah , and for them is a great punishment;"
Now for the other, we have
Qur'an 8:30
"And [remember, O Muhammad], when those who disbelieved plotted against you to restrain you or kill you or evict you [from Makkah]. But they scheme, and Allah schemes. And Allah is the best of schemers."

Now we got the bigger picture you can figure out the rest yourself ;)
