Will the real Obama please stand up

Reader comment on item: Was Barack Obama a Muslim?

Thank you, Daniel Pipes, for sending me your articles, and thank you for your input, and keen discernment each contains!

And thank you much for sending me this information re Barack Obama, because of its relevance at this time.

A friend of mine who lives in Iowa wrote and told me she voted for Barack Obama because he was the most viable and because he was for 'change'; but she didn't note to me any details that this 'change' would embrace. i was curious. I did note that mention was made in your article of the name of the Christian church he attends, called, 'Trinity United Church of Christ'.

As I am biblically oriented, both of the Old and New Testaments, I was moved to seek some information about the Church, and its teachings, and so i did,on the website.. I noted that there were other churches by that name in other states, some black congregations and one I noticed was white. (I just clicked only 4 or so. The others, besides the one above that was located in Chicago, did each list their Christian teachings and beliefs, but the one from Chicago, did not at all, but did write about their commitment to Black Liberation, and enlarged on such commitment to Black Liberation, and how it all started. That was it. I assume that this church is the one he attends.

I thought briefly about the word 'change' that so intrigued my friend and what it might have conjured up in her imagination, (for she did say she knew little about politics1)..(she has other endearing traits)...for, alas, there are good changes and real bad ones... But I pondered all the things the article you sent me and its implications! I imagined red flags being shot off from roof tops of my mind! Just no peace for the weary! I had written my friend about my new marvelous information contained in your article, buy so far, no response.

You gave every reason why Barack Obama could not possibly refuse to yield to Islamic terrorists if he were elected, under those circumstances, no matter how sincere he was to begin with., but then, there is truth is there not, that where there is smoke there is fire? I mean he attends a church committed to black liberation, and the book that started this commitment was written by a man I think his last name is Jack Cone,, a book titled I believe re 'black power, black theology'. (and in his childhood it is possible he did indeed attend a mosque and been exposed to islamic religion; )

Apparently, Barack Obama is already committed to this end, and has been for many years; so, as the Good Book says, one can't serve two masters at the same time. Such are my concerns.

The question is, if he is elected President, will it be too late to ask of him: Will the real Obama please stand up!

Sincerely,

Eleanor Goldstein
