Reader comment on item: Was Barack Obama a Muslim?

Submitted by American (United States), May 15, 2008 at 14:23

This gentleman would not and will not swear in on the Holy Bible. Our country was founded on biblical teachings. He is a muslim, muslims are radical. They are against the western world and as we speak currently killing American soldiers. Why would America want a leader like that?

And I know there are people out there saying "He's a converted christian" so why not swear in on the Holy Bible? Why not promote the bible now on his campaign trail? Because he is of the muslim faith. They are and always will be radical supporters of the Koran. I'm not sure but I think we're about to give America over to the radical teachings of a muslim. I just can't understand why anyone doesn't see that everything points to a muslim faith. That in itself is very strange that Americans want to elect someone that is of the same religious background that supports radical terrorism.

Just on a side note....religion is by choice and America allows all types in this country....to live in this country....not to run it....
