In third and foiurth grade, children generally go by their parent's religion, even if they disagree - his parents, NOT, he, registered in in the schools. The childhood friends say Obama sometimes went to Friday prayers at the local mosque. "We prayed but not really seriously, just following actions done by older people in the mosque. But as kids, we loved to meet our friends and went to the mosque together and played," said Zulfin Adi. … Obama's younger sister, Maya Soetoro, said in a statement released by the campaign that the family attended the mosque only "for big communal events," not every Friday.GEE - what's wrong with being where your friends are - I am protestant, but I have attended functions at Catholic, Jewish, and Muslim religious functions BECAUSE MY FRIENDS INVITED ME - I have NEVER been a member of any of these religions.Technically, as a child, you might be able to call him a Muslim - grounds are shaky.
