I'm Malaysian Muslim and I live peacefully with other religions in this country.

Unfortunately you did not understand Quran. You just quote part of the ayat. You won't understand Quran this way.

Surah: 2:193 in the whole ayat is: " ...And fight them on until there is no more Tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in Allah. but if they cease, Let there be no hostility except to those who practise oppression. "

You should also look the entire juzuk to see the whole story " Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for Allah loveth not transgressors. And slay them wherever ye catch them, and turn them out from where they have Turned you out; for tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter; but fight them not at the Sacred Mosque, unless they (first) fight you there; but if they fight you, slay them. Such is the reward of those who suppress faith. But if they cease, Allah is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful." (2:190-192)

"Fighting is prescribed for you (to fight oppression), and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not." (2:216)

"A (declaration) of immunity from Allah and His Messenger, to those of the Pagans with whom ye have contracted mutual alliances: Go ye, then, for four months, backwards and forwards, (as ye will), throughout the land, but know ye that ye cannot frustrate Allah (by your falsehood) but that Allah will cover with shame those who reject Him. And an announcement from Allah and His Messenger, to the people (assembled) on the day of the Great Pilgrimage,- that Allah and His Messenger dissolve (treaty) obligations with the Pagans. If then, ye repent, it were best for you; but if ye turn away, know ye that ye cannot frustrate Allah. And proclaim a grievous penalty to those who reject Faith." (9:1-3)

"Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued. " (9:29)

"O ye who believe! fight the unbelievers who gird you about, and let them find firmness in you: and know that Allah is with those who fear Him" (9:123)

Both of the above ayats are from the ninth Surah: Repentance, Dispensation. It is about the declaration of immunity between Muhammad and the Pagans in Mecca who disobeyed the declaration. To understand well, read whole Surah.

"Therefore, when ye meet the Unbelievers (in fight), smite at their necks; At length, when ye have thoroughly subdued them, bind a bond firmly (on them): thereafter (is the time for) either generosity or ransom: Until the war lays down its burdens. Thus (are ye commanded): but if it had been Allah.s Will, He could certainly have exacted retribution from them (Himself); but (He lets you fight) in order to test you, some with others. But those who are slain in the Way of Allah,- He will never let their deeds be lost" (47:4)

There's the way how to learn Quran properly. Even muslims were asked to learn with person who knows and understand thoroughly The Quran. What happen today has a root cause. People should not kill innocent people. Unless to protect your religion and land from people who want to destroy it. Even in a war, Islam forbid to kill women, children, oldies, people who stay in religious building and even destroy trees without any reason.

What happened in Palestine is because of years of pressure from people who keep taking their land and kill innocent people. You should try to think what will you do if some people come and start taking your homeland piece by piece. Although their action for me is not right, but what other choice the have? Because nobody wants to do anything for quite long time.
