Fear of the Truth

Reader comment on item: Terror & Denial [by Hadayat at LAX]

Submitted by Peter Newton (United States), Jul 9, 2002 at 11:00

Pervasive political correctness amongst our law enforcement agencies is a large part of this problem. They are so afraid of offending anyone, and the possibility that they could be wrong, that they refuse to acknowledge the obvious. We certainly don't get to see every piece of evidence, but it is clear that common sense is being entirely usurped.

The root problem seems to be an inherent political aspect under which the officials in our law enforcement communities are forced to work. The Liberal "thought police" would rather ignore facts, or twist them into their rigid ideology. They abhor officials, or anyone for that matter, not locked into their specific way of thinking. They will crush any dissent with innuendo, defamation, accusations of racism, or accusations of malfeasance.

It is all well and good for a person to believe that perception is reality if his or her dementia does not affect anyone else. To espouse this denial of reality in an arena where the truth is paramount, and people's lives hang in the balance, is so destructive as to be unconscionable.

The Left is systematically destroying the creativity, freethinking, and adherence to the obvious that are the hallmarks of good police work. This situation is being replaced by one narrow interpretation of the facts that avoids offending any group, or by an outright dismissal of any facts that cannot be twisted into conformity. We are watching our law enforcement agencies gradually slip into a denial of reality that is akin to mental illness. The truth itself is under attack.

Unfortunately, this is simply one single area that is under attack, and one that is easy to identify. The truth is beset in almost every area of our lives that the Liberal "thought police" are able to reach. The truth and the facts are their enemies, and when confronted, they resort to their proven tactics of defamation. It's working. We are being pushed further and further from reality with every denial of it. Political correctness is a slow suicide engineered by people who are filled with hatred. They hate their own culture. They hate their own country. They hate the world we live in, and above all they hate themselves. People pushing this agenda are actively seeking the destruction of truth. Opposing them is very dangerous. They will label you with their own hatred, and try to destroy your name.

Thank you, Daniel. Your courage is an inspiration to all of us fighting for the truth in this single reality that we all share.
