i dont understand how anyone, especially a Copt ( egy christian), can even begin to have any sort of defense for islam. "You cherish Islam as part of your life?" Are you trying to get in touch with your inner terrorist? Here's the bottom line on the whole subject. Islam all together is based on some supposed dream of Mohamed whom didnt have one good quality. From there he wrote a book on which is based on pure evil and fairytales which any person that's not brainwashed (non muslim) can see within a second, maybe even first grade education. Then it was spread by the sword to all christians, jews, pagans and forced upon them through death or gizya ( including Egypt). Actually we copts are descendants of those copts that defended the faith and suffered under the gizya.

"ISLAMIC FUNDAMENTALISM" only means muslims that are actually doing what their koran is telling them to do, while the "MODERATE" muslims are the one's who dont really practice their religion or pick and choose what they want to follow from the koran. In essence it's the same as saying a Christian Fanatic is one who loves everyone too much, or gives of him/herself too much, or forgives too much. in other words these "terrorists" are only people following their religion Islam to the full extent of which it was meant by Mohammed to be practiced. Do me a favor and please get back to me on how the world has become a better place since the invention of islam.
