Not really. Kurds are acting this way to gain support for forming independent Kurdistan and for that they need support of all Kurds or non-Kurds, Muslims and Christians or Jews, if any. Once they achieve their objective then we will see if they maintain their benevolence towards non-Muslims.( The present Kurdistan is part of Iraq.)

Aren't you familiar with Coptic Christians in Egypt and how are they being treated by sunni Muslims and by their government? And how about the treatment of christians in the holyland and in Gaza? These christians are being harassed and killed regularly and their population is dwindling. Too simple and confusing for you?
