Reader comment on item: Debate in London: Radical Islam vs. Civilization
in response to reader comment: Abdullah - another propagandist

Yes, it would seem that if Abdullah was sincere about being a moderate Islam, he would be acknowledging these concerns rather than denying they have any factual basis. I also have read the Koran, the Hadiths, and Sira, and can find many more surrahs describing Muhammed performing jihad (in the literal sense, not as a spiritual struggle).

Taquiyya permits Abdullah to spread this disinformation or, even, lie. In Islam, lying (taquiyya) is encouraged to save one's life and/or promote peace or reconciliation. The problem lies in how Westerners view promoting peace and reconciliation and how Muslims view the promotion of peace and/or reconciliation. (They are also permitted to lie in other situations, as well, but these other situations aren't relevant in this discussion.)

The Islamic definition of living in the dar al-Islam (also known as the House of Peace or House of Submission) is only attainable when the entire world submits to Islam. Until this happens, we are, according to the Koran, living in the House of War, or dar al-Harb (areas that are not Muslim, or outside Muslim rule). According to the Koran, there is no real peace until we are all under Muslim rule.

So, it is quite reasonable to assume that Abdullah is not telling the truth here and committing taquiyya. He is denying the facts in evidence and is, instead, accusing the 'rest of us' of ignorance and unreasonable concern.
