The Government You Deserve?

Reader comment on item: "[Symposium] On the Strip: Where To Go from Gaza?"

Mr. Pipes,

I am from Ireland , but I have lived in Canada for quite a few years. That in itself is something of the problem. I oppose everything that is said by those who call themselves Palestinians, as I do not believe anyone will ever please them when they continue to demand the unthinkable: Right of Return. The ignorance of those I live among is nerve shattering as they simply do not know the history of the Middle East, but feel no hesitation in expressing an opinion that is woefully short on facts.

What to do? Well, the current situation in Gaza is a good start. But why is it when the Israelis retaliates when one of their own is taken into captivity, the world shrieks that this is so brutal against the 'poor Palistinenans'? What, those same people treat the Jews so well that no one has to fear anything happening to this kid? I do not believe you can do business with the likes of Hamas or Fatah, as they appear to take their orders from those who have been given sanctuary in Syria and other parts of that world. As for the Palistinans suffering through lack of electricity and food, these are the same people who voted leading terrorists in as their government, so what are they complaining about. They got exactly the Government thay voted for. They were expecting peace?
